The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO) provides the My SPTO (MIO) application so that users who have carried out any of the procedures in any of the following categories can consult their files: inventions, distinctive signs and industrial designs. Some files and the documents in them are considered private due to the nature of their processing. This means they are not available for public consultation, and cannot be consulted through the CEO application (SPTO File Consultation). In order for files to be consulted in their entirety, the MIO application has been created with the security measures needed to guarantee access to complete files is exclusively for the owner-applicant, their representative or agent.
