Request for digitised files (Formerly online enquiry)

The stages of the Online Enquiry are as follows:

• 1. Access the Online Enquiry application, it is necessary to hold a digital certificate.
• 2. Select the File Type that you wish to request
• 3. Enter the file number(s) (and Bis if any).
• 4. Perform Online Payment (See instructions on Online Payment on "Online procedures" of the Webpage of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office).
  • a. Select CM03 as the payment code
  • b. Complete Form 791 and send it.
  • c. Select the certificate with which you want to perform the transaction.
  • d. Check the details of the transaction.
  • e. Sign and send the details.
  • f. You will receive notification of the charge made to your account, including the AEAT NRC (transaction reference number).
  • g. Print Form 791 as the SPTO payment receipt, which you may present should it become necessary.

• 5. Once you have performed the Online Payment, you must enter the barcode number.
• 6. Please allow 24-48 hours to download the file.
